My name is Jason Dias, I’m a Senior Developer with over 13 years of experience.
I work for Riot Games as a Software Engineer working on the pvp.net platform for League of Legends. League of Legends is a session-based, multiplayer online battle-arena game where rival teams compete against one another for victory on highly stylized battlefields and landscapes.
Before Riot Games I was developing flash games for Facebook at CIE Games, one of the games Car Town had over 8.2 million players just 3 months after launch. Before that I spent about 3.5 years mainly involved in the Digital Creative Agency world, creating engaging games, micro-sites, streaming video players, flash websites, flex applications, kiosks, AIR applications, and internal systems such as frameworks, components, and tools to help speed along the development process.
I am also involved in creating learning programs, screen casts, production process work-flows, development work-flows, and managing a team of developers.
I was also running a freelance company (qube.tv) started in 2001, this allowed me to stay sharp and current in other programming languages such as Java, and iPhone apps, I have done many projects such as multi-player isometric chat engines, live web-cam chat, facebook games, and many other projects.
I plan to write about my development experiences and make a few screencasts to help others (hopefully). I am also an avid car lover and love to race my real cars, and my Off-road R/C cars, so I will write about those experiences as well.
Thank you for visiting.
