Under the settings (Ctrl-Alt-S), if you type “autopopup” it will show you an option for Autopopup code completion in (ms): 0, you can add a delay here or uncheck the check-box to disable.

You can also use “Smart Type Completion” (Ctrl-Shift-Space) to complete event types in addEventListener(..) calls.
